Age notesCarkeek Park EarthKeepers Day Camp is for children ages 6-12 and is held in July and August (official park page).

Official tipsThe official page describes 6 miles of trails through forest, creeks, meadows, wetlands and beaver ponds, plus a playground, picnic areas and shelters, demonstration gardens, and Piper's Orchard; beach and tide-pool access is over a pedestrian railroad bridge. Small boat launch is not available from the park, and beach access is restricted to boats arriving by water only; you may hand-carry a boat onto the beach for 300 feet south of the pedestrian bridge.

Seasonal notesVisitors can view chum salmon in Piper's Creek and attend educational and celebration events from mid-October to early December. The Carkeek Park Visitor Center is no longer open for public use and the park's education buildings are closed to the public.
