Zoo Lights on select nights Nov 19, 2026-Jan 3, 2027, 5:30-10:30pm (last entry 9:30pm; New Year's Eve closes 9:30pm). Closed all day Christmas Eve (Dec 24); closed for daytime admission Thanksgiving Day (Nov 26) and Christmas Day (Dec 25), reopening those evenings for Zoo Lights only. Early-close exceptions posted on the plan page (e.g. Sat Nov 7 last entry 2pm/close 3pm; Fri Nov 13 last entry 1pm/close 2pm) — check the schedule before visiting.

Tickets & bookingOnline reservations for timed tickets are REQUIRED for all non-member guests; tickets are NOT sold on-site at the Zoo; no refunds and exchanges. Members need no reservation. CityPASS holders show CityPASS tickets at any ticket taker (no advance reservation). Ticket holders may enter any time after their ticket's listed arrival time and stay until closing. Tickets were on sale through December 31 at check time.

ParkingThe Zoo's own visit pages list parking options rather than a Zoo-owned lot: Hermann Park parking; Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza Parking Garage, 6400 Fannin, Houston, TX 77030 (the Zoo notes guests can park there on weekends and stroll through The Commons in Hermann Park to the Zoo); Houston Museum of Natural Science Parking Garage; plus rideshare and METRORail alternatives.

AccessibilityThe Zoo publishes an Accessibility Guide: mobility support options for rent include strollers, wagons, manual wheelchairs and motorized scooters (scooters are individual use only; operator must be at least 18). Bicycles, tricycles, scooters, skates, skateboards and rollerblades are not permitted (mobility devices excepted — ask Guest Services). All Zoo restrooms are wheelchair accessible. For access needs not in the guide, the Zoo asks guests to reach out at least 24 hours before the visit (inquiries@houstonzoo.org / 713-533-6500). Ramps are located throughout for wheelchairs, strollers and scooters (per the Zoo's Museum District listing).
