AccessibilityThe Upper Garden has accessible pathways, restrooms and parking, covering the Pollinator Garden, Aerial Tree Walk, Covered Arbor and outdoor fireplace; the rest of the garden is natural forested landscape with sloped terrain, uneven narrow pathways and stairs. Wheelchair/walker users can reach the Manor House level only by checking in at the Visitor Services booth to arrange entry through the Manor House gate, and that area must be accessed by driving - there is no accessible path connecting it from the main entrance. Transit caveat: a stretch of SE 122nd Ave has no sidewalk between the Foster Rd TriMet stop and the garden entry, which impacts ADA access for transit arrivals. An ADA map of the garden is published (official page fetched this pass).
Family facilitiesChanging tables are available in both the Upper Garden and Manor House level restrooms. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times (official page fetched this pass).
Seasonal notesWeather closure rules (official page): the garden closes at 1pm on extreme-heat-warning days; closes when the forecast AQI is 150 or over; may close or cancel programs when wind gusts over 25 MPH are predicted, in snow/ice, or for thunder and lightning; programs may be cancelled or modified at 90+ degrees (official page fetched this pass).
